Congratulations! The 19th Asian Games opening ceremony

The 19th Asian Games grandly opened at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium on September 23rd.

Over the eight-year preparation process for the Asian Games, Hangzhou joined hands with five co-host cities: Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing, and Jinhua. They adhered to the organizing principle of "green, intelligent, thrifty, and civilized." The Hangzhou Asian Games featured 40 major events, 61 sub-events, and 481 minor events, covering distinctive sports from various regions of Asia as well as emerging sports like breakdancing. All 45 member countries of the Olympic Council of Asia signed up, with over 12,000 athletes participating, making it the largest, most comprehensive Asian Games in history.

The Asian Games torch relay was completed in Zhejiang province. On September 23rd, at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games, the main torch of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games was lit in a blend of "digital + reality" by the final six torchbearers together with all the digital torchbearers.

The Hangzhou Asian Games mark China's third time hosting the Asian Games, previously held in Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010.

It is hoped that through this Asian Games, further friendships and exchanges among Asian countries and regions will be promoted. This event aims to propel the development of sports and contribute actively to the peace and prosperity of the Asian region.
